Robotics company Ubtech Robotics Corp. Ltd. (9880.HK) said on Thursday that it has signed agreements with the Liuzhou Industrial Holding Fund and Liuzhou Industrial Guidance Fund to co-invest in the smart robotics industrial supply chain.
The partnership, under the “Robotics Industry M&A Fund,” has a total investment of 660 million yuan ($95 million). The two Liuzhou fund entities contributed 360 million yuan, while Ubtech provided the remaining 300 million yuan. The fund will focus on the upstream and downstream sectors of the smart robotics supply chain, targeting core components and smart infrastructure.
Ubtech said the collaboration leverages the two funds’ specialized asset management expertise, integrating diverse resources to identify and funnel capital into high-growth-potential projects.
Shares of Ubtech opened up 1.7% at HK$143.80 on Friday. The stock is up 145% from its 52-week low.
