San Miguel Brewery profit plunges on higher costs from Iran conflict
0236.HK

Brewer San Miguel Brewery Hong Kong Ltd. (0236.HK) on Wednesday said it expects to report a profit of HK$11.4 million ($1.45 million) for the first half of 2026, down 78% from the HK$51.1 million it reported a year earlier.
It blamed the decline on the conflict in Iran, and resulting geopolitical tensions in Asia, which resulted in higher operating costs that negatively affected its export volumes.
The company’s revenue rose 3.7% in 2025 to HK$737 million, while it swung to a profit of HK$76.2 million for the year from a loss of HK$20.1 million in 2024.
The company’s stock is down 6.5% this year.
