Analog chipmaker Suzhou Novosense Microelectronics Co. Ltd. (688052.SH; 2676.HK) said on Thursday it expects to report revenue of about 2.54 billion yuan ($377 million) for the first half of 2026, up 66.7% year on year. Its net profit is expected to reach about 67 million yuan, reversing a net loss of 78.01 million yuan a year earlier.

Excluding non-recurring items, the company is expected to post a net loss of about 48 million yuan for the latest six-month period, narrowing by 57.64 million yuan from a year earlier. Non-recurring gains mainly included about 94 million yuan in fair-value gains from equity investments made indirectly through private equity funds. Notably, the company’s net profit and adjusted net profit both turned positive in the second quarter, reaching about 102.74 million yuan and 6.77 million yuan, respectively.

The company attributed the improvement to stronger customer demand, an expanded product portfolio and overseas business growth, which boosted its sales and revenue. A lower expense-to-revenue ratio also helped improve its profitability.

Novosense shares opened higher on Friday and traded at HK$163.2 by the midday break, up 8.66%. The stock has gained about 40% so far this year.
