Optical communications product maker Ligent Technologies Inc. (9856.HK) launched its Hong Kong IPO on Monday, aiming to raise about HK$5.45 billion ($695 million) by selling 172 million shares to investors for HK$32.96 each. Subscriptions for the offering will close on Sept. 17, with a trading debut set for Sept. 22.

Founded in the early 2000s as an optical communications company, Ligent’s revenue rose 27.7% in the first half of 2026 to 5.39 billion yuan ($803 million) from 4.22 billion yuan a year earlier. About 70% of its revenue comes from datacom transceivers. Its profit rose 29.6% to 661 million yuan in the first half of this year from 510 million yuan a year earlier.

Nearly 30 cornerstone investors, including Primavera, Mirae Asset Securities and Barings, have agreed to collectively buy about 47% of the shares being sold.
