Property developer Country Garden Holdings Co. Ltd. (2007.HK) on Thursday announced its attributable contracted sales for June totaled about 2.45 billion yuan ($361 million), down about 13% year-on-year. Its attributable contracted sales area totaled about 300,000 square meters, down 14.3% year-on-year.
Country Garden’s June sales were also down from May, when the company recorded attributable contracted sales of about 2.63 billion yuan and contracted sales area of about 330,000 square meters. That meant June contracted sales fell about 6.8% month-on-month, while sales area declined about 9.1%.
Including the June figures, Country Garden’s attributable contracted sales for the first half of this year totaled about 14.25 billion yuan, down 14.9% from 16.75 billion yuan a year earlier. Attributable contracted sales area totaled about 1.82 million square meters, down about 11.2% from 2.05 million square meters in the same period last year.
Country Garden shares opened higher on Friday and were trading at HK$0.188 by the midday break, up 8.67%.
