Chow Sang Sang’s profit more than doubles in first half of 2026

Jewelry retailer Chow Sang Sang Holdings International Ltd. (0116.HK) on Monday projected a sharp increase in its profit for the six months through June, saying its profit from continuing operations will range between HK$2.1 billion ($269 million) and HK$2.2 billion, up 130% to 142% from the HK$910 million it reported a year earlier.
The company said improving sales bolstered its retail division. In addition, it recognized unrealized gains from its mark-to-market revaluation of bullion loans, compared with unrealized losses in the year-ago period.
Shares of Chow Sang Sang opened up 11% at HK$13.40 on Tuesday. The stock is down 10% from its 52-week high.
