Robotics maker Ubtech Robotics Corp. Ltd. (9880.HK) said on Sunday it won contracts to supply its Walker S1 and Walker C embodied intelligent humanoid robots for use in automobile production and commercial hospitality applications.

The company called the contracts a ‘critical milestone’ in commercializing its

embodied intelligent humanoid robots for industrial manufacturing scenarios. It added their deployment in automotive production also serves as a proof of concept. Ubtech plans to accelerate its commercialization of such products, including through preparation for their mass production and delivery.

Shares of Ubtech opened up 3% at HK$83.90 on Monday, and were up 1.7% in the afternoon session. The shares are down nearly 60% from their 52-week high.
