Real-time engagement technology provider Agora Inc. (API.US) said on Monday its revenue rose 0.5% year-on-year in the second quarter to $34.2 million, as its global business outperformed its China operations. The company said its adjusted loss also narrowed slightly during the quarter to $6 million from $6.6 million a year earlier.

Revenue from the company’s global business, called Agora, rose 2% during the quarter year-on-year to $15.6 million, accounting for 46% of its total. Revenue from its China business, called Shengwang, grew at a slower 0.3% to 131.5 million yuan ($18.4 million).
