Klook withdraws U.S. listing application

Online travel site Klook Technology Ltd. on Friday withdrew its application for a U.S. listing, nearly a year after the Hong Kong-based company filed its original prospectus. The company said that it does not intend to conduct the listing at this time, but did not provide any additional explanation.
Klook made its first and only public filing for a U.S. listing on Nov. 10 last year. At the time it did not provide a fundraising target, but media reports said the IPO could raise between $300 million and $500 million.
The company, whose name is a shortened form of “keep looking,” operates a youth-oriented travel site. Its co-founders previously said they were interested in an IPO in either the U.S. or Hong Kong.
Its decision to withdraw the IPO application comes as most Chinese companies looking to list overseas have abandoned New York for Hong Kong amid heightened U.S.-China tensions. In its IPO prospectus last year, Klook reported its revenue rose 43% year-on-year to $407 million in the first half of 2025. Its loss widened to $141 million from $85.7 million over that period.
