INDUSTRY BRIEF: Macao gaming revenue up 6.7% in May

Macao’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) for May totaled 22.61 billion patacas ($2.8 billion), up 6.7% year-over-year and a 13.7% increase from the previous month, Macao’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau reported on Monday.
Gross gaming revenue for the first five months of the year totaled 108.38 billion patacas, up 10.9% year-over-year. With the exception of April, revenue has topped 20 billion patacas each month this year, exceeding 22 billion patacas in three of those months.
The Macao government previously forecast that gross gaming revenue would reach 236 billion patacas this year. The first five months already account for 46% of that target, meaning full-year revenue is widely expected to hit the mark — and potentially eclipse the 247.4 billion patacas for 2025.
