BRIEF: Novosense revenue jumps on strong auto demand as loss narrows

Analog chipmaker Suzhou Novosense Microelectronics Co. Ltd. (688052.SH; 2676.HK) said on Friday it expects to report annual revenue of 3.3 billion yuan ($475 million) to 3.4 billion yuan for 2025, up between 68% and 73% year-on-year from 1.96 billion yuan in 2024.
The company said it expects to report a loss for the year of 200 million yuan to 250 million yuan, compared with a loss of 403 million yuan in 2024. Excluding non-recurring items, the company said it expects to report a loss of 240 million yuan to 290 million yuan for 2025, compared with a loss of 457 million yuan in the previous year.
The company attributed the strong revenue growth to expanding demand for its chips from the automotive sector. It added that demand from the energy and industrial automation sector was also showing signs of recovery, while demand from the photovoltaics and energy storage sectors was returning to normal levels.
Novosense’s Hong Kong-listed shares were down 6.3% in afternoon trading on Monday, while its Shanghai-listed stock was down 7.7%. The Hong Kong listed stock currently trades at about HK$138, up about 19% from its listing price of HK$116 in December.
