BRIEF: MedBot revenue doubles in 2025 on strong overseas gains

Shanghai MicroPort MedBot (Group) Co. Ltd. (2252.HK) on Wednesday said it expects to report its revenue last year rose by 110% to 120% from 2024 on growing traction for its surgical devices. That would translate to 2025 revenue of 540 million yuan ($77.6 million) to 565 million yuan, based on the company’s previously reported revenue of 257 million yuan in 2024.
The company attributed the big growth to strong gains for its core Toumai laparoscopic surgical robots. It said the product achieved especially strong gains overseas, with new foreign orders exceeding 100 units for the year, as overseas sales were more than five times that for 2024.
MedBot said it expects to report an adjusted net loss of up to 240 million yuan for 2025, narrowing 50% year-over-year. It attributed the improvement to its strong revenue growth and lower production and operating costs as it became more efficient. It added its negative free cash flow for the year was 70 million yuan or less, marking an improvement of more than 80% from the previous year.
Shares of MedBot opened up 5.3% at HK$32.56 on Thursday. The stock has more than doubled from its 52-week low.
