BRIEF: Hang Seng Index adds three firms, removes Zhongsheng
The Hang Seng Indexes Co. added Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL)(3750.HK), CMOC Group (3993.HK) and Laopu Gold (6181.HK) to its benchmark Hang Seng Index, according to its quarterly review whose results were announced on Friday. Concurrently, Zhongsheng Group (0881.HK) was removed from the index. All changes take effect March 9.
Separately, KE Holdings (2423.HK) and Horizon Robotics (9660.HK) were added to the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index, while China Resources Beer (0291.HK) and China Mengniu Dairy (2319.HK) were removed.
Shares of CATL opened 1.3% higher at HK$524, CMOC rose 1.4% at the opening to HK$22.02, and Laopu Gold opened up 0.2% at HK$740. Zhongsheng opened down 1.6% at HK$12.
