Automaker Baic Motor Corp. Ltd. (1958.HK) warned on Tuesday that its 2025 profit plunged between 86.4% to 88.5% to between 110 million yuan ($16 million) and 130 million yuan, citing fierce competition and rapid industry changes that affected its vehicle sales.

The company said its profits were also eroded by new investments to accelerate its “three-year leapfrog development strategy,” including new model launches, brand enhancement, and expanded channel development and marketing.

Baic Motor’s shares opened flat at HK$1.81 on Wednesday. The stock is down 30% from its 52-week high.
