RoboSense’s third-quarter LiDAR sales triple

LiDAR maker RoboSense Technology Co. Ltd. (2498.HK) said on Friday that it sold approximately 595,600 LiDAR units in the third quarter, including about 450,400 for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and 145,200 for robotics and other applications.
Compared with last year’s third-quarter sales of 185,600 units, including 150,100 for ADAS and 35,500 for robotics and other applications, this year’s third-quarter sales rose 220.9% year-on-year, based on calculations using figures for both periods. Sales in the two categories increased 200.1% and 309.0%, respectively.
The company sold about 1.31 million LiDAR units in the first nine months of this year, including about 887,000 for ADAS and 427,800 for robotics and other applications.
RoboSense’s shares opened higher on Friday and traded at HK$16.18 by the midday break, up 5.06%. The stock is down 55.8% year-to-date.
