Hutchmed does healthcare

Drugmaker Hutchmed (China) Ltd. (HCM.US; 0013.HK) on Thursday reported its revenue rose slightly in the first half of 2026, as double-digit growth for its core portfolio of cancer and immunology drugs offset a contraction for its other ventures.

The company reported revenue of $278.3 for the six months through June, down from $277.7 million a year earlier. The 0.2% gain marked an improvement from 2025, when the company’s revenue fell 13% for the year.

Revenue for its oncology and immunology drugs rose 13.1% year-on-year in the first half to $162.3 million, though $18.1 million of that came from a one-time milestone payment. Revenue from its other ventures fell 13.6% year-on-year to $116 million, as the company scaled back low-margin logistics distribution sales.

The company’s net income fell to $15.9 million in the first half of 2026 from $455 million a year earlier, though much of the year-ago figure came from a $416 million one-time gain from an asset sale.

Hutchmed’s U.S.-listed stock fell 5.4% on Thursday to close at $10.77 after the announcement. The shares are down about 18% this year.
