Online Q&A platform Zhihu Inc. (2390.HK; ZH.US), often called the “Quora of China,” announced its loss in the first half of this year narrowed to 246 million yuan ($34.4 million) from 458 million yuan a year earlier. Its revenue fell by 7.1% year-on-year to 1.9 billion yuan.

The company’s average monthly active users fell 20% ​​to 84.8 million year-on-year. But its number of average monthly subscribing members rose 1.9% to 14.7 million.
