BRIEF: MicroPort ‘s revenue soars in first half of 2025

Medical robotics company Shanghai MicroPort MedBot (Group) Co. Ltd. (2252.HK) said on Thursday that its revenue surged 70% to 80% in the first half of this year from 99.24 million yuan ($14 million) in the same period of 2024.
The sharp uptick stemmed chiefly from strong growth for its core Toumai endoscopic surgical robots, which secured 18 new orders in the six-month period. The company’s SkyWalker orthopedic surgical robots also saw steady sales growth. Following regulatory approval and its market launch, demand for the company’s R-ONE vascular interventional robot grew as well.
As its revenue grew rapidly and the company attained more cost reductions and better efficiency, its adjusted net loss for the period narrowed 40% year-on-year to 125 million yuan.
Shares of MicroPort opened up 1.3% at HK$18.60 on Friday. The stock is up 62% since the start of the year.
