Phancy does AI

Software maker Chinasoft International Ltd. (0354.HK) on Wednesday announced its entry into the computing power business, following the launch of its Allmeta enterprise intelligent operating system earlier this year. Chinasoft will focus on token operations as it seeks to build a new growth curve for its business.

The push into computing power will enable the company to capitalize on opportunities in AI development and extend its existing AI capabilities to computing power supply and services, Chinasoft said. This move is expected to diversify the company’s revenue makeup, and improve its business structure, while also generating synergies with its current AI and cloud offerings.

The company plans to procure high-end AI servers in bulk, build supporting computing power infrastructure and launch related business operations this year. Chinasoft will structure its computing power operations across three business models: hardware resale, computing power leasing and token sales.

Shares of Chinasoft fell 6.4% on Thursday to close at HK$4.40. The stock is down 37% from its 52-week high.
